This year, we’ll finally be hosting Camp Hope in person again and we are faced with the daunting task of gathering all the supplies we’ll need! From Carnival Night, to the dance, to the arts and crafts, we are dependent upon the donations from generous community members for the many events we host each year at camp. This past month, the Rosploch family made the choice to generously donate directly to Camp Hope with $10,000 worth of toys for our Carnival Night and volunteered their time to help unload these gifts.
Mike, Maria, and Mya Rosploch have long been involved with St. Jude and the fight against cancer and other catastrophic illnesses. In 2012, Rally for Lily was formed in honor of their daughter Lily, who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the young age of 3. It started as a fund created by family and friends to help the Rosplochs while Lily underwent treatment.
Throughout her treatment, Rally for Lily grew as she and her family found great joy in donating toys at Christmas to other children in the clinic. Lily herself helped give toys away when she was just 5 years old! While she is no longer with us, her memory inspires her family to continue their work and provide happiness to other children diagnosed with life-threatening diseases.
Without generous donors like the Rosploch family, Camp Hope would not be able to continue and many children in our community would be without the resources, friendships, and life-long support that Camp Hope provides. We seek to go beyond just our annual camp and provide those same resources for young adults, families who have lost loved ones, and survivors of these diseases. See how you can get involved with the Camp Hope community and change lives!
